PRACTICE MANAGER - ANN MCGUCKIN
Our Practice Manager, Ann McGuckin MBA, is responsible for the management
and administration of the Practice and the staff. She is happy to
answer any queries you may have on the Practice and is the point
of contact if you have any suggestions to make about our current
services.
RECEPTION / ADMINISTRATION STAFF
The Practice is most fortunate in having a conscientious and experienced
administration staff who are fully trained and do a difficult job
well. They have a demanding job and their aim is to provide an efficient
and friendly service. Please remember that if you need to be kept
waiting or seem to be asked one or two personal questions, they
are carrying out our policy which is aimed at making the Practice
run smoothly.
PRACTICE NURSES
Our Practice Nurses are highly trained and experienced. They work
closely with the Doctors and are available by appointment to carry
out a wide range of procedures, including immunisations and cervical
smears. They also run their own specialist clinics.
PRACTICE PHARMACIST - Elaine Thomson
Our Pharmacist, Elaine Thomson MRPHARMS works closely with the doctors
to address areas of prescribing concerns. From time to time you
may be invited to attend an appointment with the Pharmacist to discuss
your medication.
DISTRICT NURSES
Our team of District Nurses cover all aspects of nursing
care in the home. They have a wide variety of nursing experience
that ensures our patients receive a high standard of care.

Messages are checked regularly throughout the day.
HEALTH VISITORS
Our team of Health Visitors are experienced nurses with
a specialist qualification in Community Health Nursing. They are
available to provide advice and support to patients of all ages
within the Practice on a wide range of health issues.
They may be contacted by telephoning 819410 (answering
machine) Monday to Friday. Messages are checked
twice daily.
MEDICAL STUDENTS
We are involved with the education and training of medical
and nursing students. We should be grateful if you would accept
them as part of the Practice. You will always be asked if you wish
the student to be present during your consultation so please do
not be afraid to object.
