Repeat Prescriptions

pills_thermometerIf you are on repeat medication, details of your required medication will be entered on our computer and you may be able to order these without having to be seen by your doctor each time.   This will enable you to obtain your regular prescription for a fixed length of time which will be reviewed periodically by your doctor.  You will be issued with a computer slip showing details of your medication.

When you require a repeat prescription please use the computer re-order form, tick the items you require and pop it into the post box just inside the main entrance or post it to us if you are unable to come to the surgery.  If you are unable to come to the surgery and wish your prescription to be posted to you please send your request to us enclosing a stamped addressed envelope, allowing at least five working days for postal delays.

Or you may find it more convenient to order your repeat medication on line.   You can register for this service using the link at the top of this page.   Please note that this service is for ordering repeat medications only.

Prescriptions will be available for collection within two full working days (after 3pm) or if you prefer, forwarded to your local chemist.   Patients must register with the relevant chemist before requesting this service from our practice.   Details of the chemist collection system are available from our receptionists.

Due to the volume of requests for repeat prescriptions we do not deal with requests over the telephone.

From time to time, you may be invited to attend the surgery for a review of your repeat medication.   You will be informed about this when you pick up your repeat prescription.

PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR A REPEAT PRESCRIPTION DURING YOUR CONSULTATION
