Repeat Prescriptions
Please note that this service is only available for the ordering of repeat medication.
If you are on repeat medication, details of your required medication will be entered on our computer and you may be able to order these without having to be seen by your doctor each time. This will enable you to obtain your regular prescription for a fixed length of time which will be reviewed periodically by your doctor.
You will be issued with a computer slip showing details of your medication. When you require a repeat prescription please use the computer re-order form, tick the items you require and pop it into the post box just inside the main entrance or post it to us if you are unable to come to the surgery.
Or you may find it more convenient to order your repeat medication on line by logging on to our website www.coldsidemedicalpractice.co.uk. There are two parts to the initial registration and ordering - when you have completed the registration form you will then be required to order your medication. Once you have processed your request you will receive an email informing you that your request has been received by the practice. Your prescription(s) will be available for collection within two full working days (after 3pm) or if you prefer, forwarded to your local chemist. Details of the chemist collection system are available from our receptionists.
If you are unable to come to the surgery and wish your prescription to be posted to you please send your request to us enclosing a stamped addressed envelope, allowing at least five working days for postal delays.
Due to the volume of requests for repeat prescriptions we do not deal with requests over the telephone.
From time to time, you may be invited to attend the surgery for a review of your repeat medication. You will be informed about this when you pick up your repeat prescription.
