SWINE FLU INFORMATION

Patients who are most likely to become ill if they catch swine flu are being offered the vaccination.   The clinical at risk groups, in order of priority, are:

-   Individuals aged 6 months and up to 65 years in the current seasonal flu vaccination clinical at risk groups

-   Pregnant women

-   Immunocompromised individuals

-   Household contacts of immunocompromised individuals

-   People aged 65 and over in the current seasonal flu vaccine clinical at risk groups

If you are unsure if you are eligible for a swine flu vaccination please contact reception for advice.

Children aged 6 months to 5 years will be offered the H1N1 vaccination by NHS Tayside and will be invited to attend a Community Swine Flu clinic.    Information will be sent to parents/guardians over the coming weeks.

 Patient leaflets and important information about swine flu are available from reception or on the NHS24 website.

SEASONAL FLU

If you are eligible for a seasonal flu vaccination and you have not yet been vaccinated please contact the surgery on 826724 to arrange your appointment.

If you are unsure if you are eligible for a flu vaccination please contact reception for advice.

If not, please pick up a Carer's Information Pack at our main reception desk.

 WOMEN'S HEALTH CLINIC / CERVICAL SMEARS

It is recommended that most female patients between the ages of 20 and 65 have a regular cervical smear.  If you are not sure when you should have a test, please check with our reception staff.   Our Practice Nurse will also be happy to provide information and advice on other issues eg. HRT and Breast Check Education.
